The Pakistan cricket team’s recent loss to Zimbabwe by 1 run is still a hot topic. People blamed the whole Pakistan cricket team and even questioned Babar Azam’s captaincy.

Wasim Akram, a former cricketer and head coach of the Karachi Kings, said that Babar Azam did not give away his batting position. He said he prioritised his own batting above the national team and also that the entire batting is now exposed to world-class bowling attacks.

Wasim Akram shared that, “I have been through this by the way with Babar, at Karachi Kings, yes.” while discussing the failure of Pakistan’s opener with Waqar Younis, Shoaib Malik, and Misbah-ul-Haq.

He even admitted to advising Babar Azam to take the third number.Wasim said he wanted Martin Guptill and Sharjeeb Khan to open the innings, but Babar said he wouldn’t go down.

The Legendary Cricketer explained, “All of these things begin at the top. And at the top is your captain. If your captain plays for himself and is insecure, If your captain scores runs and lets other batters play at his position, you get to know that your captain is ready to sacrifice himself for you. “
