Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf suspended former federal minister and party leader Faisal Vawda’s membership in Party on Wednesday.
Vawda had a press conference earlier in the day where he expressed his concern that there will be bloodshed while the peaceful march, which is going to start on Friday. According to him, it is actually only a cover for violence. The long march, according to Vawda, can take many lives. “Imran Khan’s peaceful march is our right but I’m seeing blood, deaths, and funerals in this long march.”, said Vawda. Vawda said the predicted bloodshed could happen before, during, or after the long march.
He further expressed “The powerful personalities who are part of this conspiracy are not far from me. Today I’m standing with truth and justice. I will continue to stand with Pakistanis who are about to die in the coming days. Important personalities and many bodies are about to fall in the coming days.”
PTI Sindh President Syed Ali Zaidi issued show cause notice via Twitter to Faisal Vawda and wrote, “Your statement is against party policy and are directed to submit an explanation of your statement otherwise your party members will be suspended.”
Asad Umar, a PTI representative, earlier stated in a tweet that Faisal Vawda’s comments did not reflect the party’s policy and that Chairman Imran Khan instructed PTI Sindh President Ali Zaidi to issue a show-cause notice to Faisal for breaking party rules.
